Yvonne is passionate about her work and the people she serves, continuing to study and research as well as actively engaging in her own personal “work” of healing and personal growth, which enables her to meet the people she serves where they are. Her passions include Psychoneuroimmunology (the study of the interaction between psychological processes and the nervous and immune systems of the human body) and the exploration of the interconnection of how our histories/not only our personal histories but also those of our parents and ancestors (Intergenerational trauma) affect our emotions, thoughts, spirit and bodies, our very DNA and how trauma, our own and intergenerational trauma affects us on countless levels. How the effects of these unresolved traumas have tentacles throughout our bodies, minds, emotions, spirits, cultures, families and environments. And how love, compassion, understanding, education, awakening our inner wisdom, and being open to the yet unexplored can pave the way to healing these wounds that are indeed sometimes ancient.
